Assess, Massage, Rehabilitate
chislehurst massage & rehabilitation
Our work is suitable for anyone suffering from pain, discomfort or an injury, any level of sports person looking to improve performance or recover from training or an event, or anyone looking for some general maintenance for their body.
Our aim is not just to fix any primary and secondary pain or biomechanical issues, but to also seek out the root cause in order to prevent your injury recurring in the future.
We will assess the injury and your body, treat where required with massage and advanced techniques such as myofascial work and neuromuscular release, and then advise you on rehabilitation strength and flexibility work if required.
Treatments are individually tailored to you and how your body is feeling on the day - numerous factors such as stress, fatigue or mood will affect you day to day.
About me
My name is Paul and I have always had a passion for sports, how the body functions and how to get the most out of it. I have a long history of training for and competing in various sports such as athletics, weight training/cross fit, fencing, racket sports, swimming, cycling and running (along with the obligatory triathlons!). In my spare time I take great pride in wearing out my shoes either walking my dog or hiking and camping in some of the quiet corners of Britain. I also help train sprinters and have completed the Assistant Coaching qualification with English Athletics.
I have completed the Level 5 BTEC qualification in Soft Tissue Therapy from the London School of Soft Tissue Therapy. Besides teaching standard and advanced massage techniques, as well as extensive theory work, the course really instilled in me a curiosity and capability to understand the human body and to seek root causes of issues. It is common for clients to present with one problem which turns out to be originating from elsewhere in the body.
